Basically, in November my friend asked if I’d draw something for Move the Web Forward, which was going to launch on Blue Beanie day. (All of these things are web developer related. So if you don’t know what I am talking about, that is ok) I think I was drinking that night and I am pretty goofy with the friend who asked me to do it, so I drew a bunch of dinosaurs on parade and gave it to him. It took like 5 minutes and I said “this is what you get for free.”
I’m not an illustrator and I haven’t actually done commissions for art beyond vector icon work since college and college was a very long time ago.
So, the dinos got put on the website.
Look at those dinos. Those are totally worth the price of free. Looks like a 10 yr old made them. That’s A+ fridge material right there.
But everyone loved the T-rex and they felt he embodied the spirit of moving the web forward with his stompy footedness.
So recently Adobe contacted the Move the Web Forward team to work with them on making CS6 better. I imagine they need help with updating Dreamweaver and the coding horror that Photoshop makes when you slice up a psd.
My friends said “Hey Adobe needs the dinos in a bigger format” which is so awkward because I do not have that source file. Why would I save that? So I remade it in 600dpi and sent it over. I figured they needed it for press releases or whatever.
Then I get told that Adobe is making a 10 ft version of the T-Rex and Dino shirts and all sorts of stuff.
What. What just happened.
…
Ah fuck it.
The first 2 are my favorites.
That guy looks like a spartan and the other like some evil asshole. The last guy’s nose is really crooked, I don’t know if you can see it well from head on.
The best part about human males in the game is that they are built like brick shithouses. HUGE hands. I look at them and I hear Marv in Sin City saying “Mah Mitts”
Bill only paid for this month so I get no more generator to play with after tomorrow :C
There are some great min-maxers in here. I’m going to try drawing them.

this is one of the default presets. All are pretty much very pretty and anime-like and extremely feminine.
This is what my elf looks like:

GORGEOUS.

rarexkandy asked: I can reassure you this character you made in TERA is awesome as shit. Gotta give them real men some love. <3
Aw thanks man.
I still don’t know if I can keep playing. I like playing with the character creator, but the actual game play isn’t that fun beyond being able to dodge and target stuff.
It’s almost too pretty. I wish that they had evil factions so I could make ugly people. I did make an elf that looked like barbara steisand that I was pretty proud of.

I found a tutorial that explains very simply how do draw the perspective of shadows. The problem is that all the tutorials I found are for light sources behind the object.
I think that if it’s a front light source you go down from the horizon line like this:

Does that make sense?
UPDATE: I figured it out. As long as it’s on the grid, you don’t need to make the second point the horizon line.

I assume that most artists will relate to this, but of course, people who don’t will find me being really creepy.
Whenever I see someone’s face or someone’s look to be just amazingly interesting, I have the urge to draw them on spot. See, I’m really shy so I draw them in secret - I know I shouldn’t.. but yeah. I have a couple of sketchbooks filled with random people. None of them know. None. Oh god, please tell me someone else does this. I feel like such a creeper. .__.;;
I do this for weird looking people. I have a bunch of sketches of mug shots and uuh… not traditionally attractive people I find on the internet.
